The dance from the North to the Center.

In 2008 I began photographing men and women at popular dances in urbanized districts of the center of Mexico. El baile del Norte al Centro, is not merely a photographic series project dealing with the issue of the massive and popular nature of the norteño music phenomenon, it is more likely about the peculiarities, features and personali- ties of the people that assist week after week to dancing shows in order to find something lightening their rough daily routines; dancing-show events which are at times sad, glamorous, euphoric, and even wild and violent.
